Cake Obsessed - Ganache Patisserie

This being my first post, I thought it would be most suitable to start off with a tribute to desserts. I absolutely loveeeeee trying new and interesting foods. Desserts, I find, tend usually allow for the most creativity in presentation and flavour. Being from Vancouver, I am blessed to be in a city that is so multicultural and diverse - my palate obviously benefits tremendously as well.

Ganache Patisserie (http://www.ganacheyaletown.com/#) is located in Yaletown. Although the prices aren't that friendly (about $5-$6 per pastry cake), the cakes are really quite worthwhile. I lost count of the number of times I visited Ganache and after a while, I can't really remember which cakes I've tried. Therefore, I started to keep track of them:

Some of my favourites are:
1. Matcha-Exotique: I buy a couple to share with my family each time. It has a strong-enough green-tea flavour but not too overpowering (I personally love green tea, and want even stronger flavour if possible)
2. Pur Chocolate: Absolutely chocolate-heaven with a crunchy crust!
3. Marron Cubique: I loveee chestnut. I think this may only have been a seasonal cake, but definitely delightful in its mix of flavours!

Of course, all the other cakes are equally delightful but I enjoy the 3 I listed the most.

Hope you have a chance to try them also!

Welcome =)

Hello!

Thanks for visiting Living2Food. I am an avid "foodie" from Vancouver and am just starting out my food-blogging. My sister, really, has greater expertise in terms of scavenging for the most interesting foods, but she has gotten me quite obsessed with following all the food-blogs and trying everything new and exciting.

I want to make this blog different from all the other ones out there - I'm still not quite sure how I will succeed in doing so! haha....Really, I just want to share my food experiences from the point of view of a lazy student who loves food and yet, tends to take short cuts when it comes to cooking, while maintaining a very high expectation for good food -- I truly am a nightmare to my mom!!! Anyways, I am very critical of restaurants and I will share those critiques quite uncensored. As well, I will share secret short-cuts I take, at home, to make foods I love in the way I love.

As you can tell, I am literally "living 2 food", so, hopefully, you can also benefit from my experiences!
